Code of Conduct

Teachers | Parents and Students

As a Teacher:

  • I will conduct sessions in a space without distractions. I will have a clean and orderly background during sessions.
  • I will wear teacher-appropriate clothing during class and conduct myself in a professional manner.
  • I will start on time and end on time.
  • I will limit session rescheduling and cancellations.
  • I will prepare all materials before the session in order to address the specific goals defined by the parent.
  • I will have my video and audio on at all times.
  • I will not give homework to my student, unless explicitly agreed upon with the parent.
  • I will limit homework assistance to appropriate guidance, and I will in no way directly answer or assist with the completion of homework, tests, essays, and other school deliverables.
  • I will be mindful and respectful of each student’s learning style. I will be engaging, understanding, and patient with my students.
  • I will ensure that no sensitive or inappropriate content is seen or heard when I share my screen.
  • I will not take screenshots, screen recordings, audio recordings, or video recordings of the session.
  • I will keep all information about students and parents confidential.

As a Parent or Student:

  • I will come to class on time, wearing student-appropriate attire. I will also end class on time.
  • I will show respect to the teacher and his/her teaching style.
  • I will keep audio and video on at all times unless agreed upon with the teacher.
  • I will inform the teacher beforehand of any specific lesson or topic to be covered during the session.
  • I will not share teacher-made content with other students or parents.
  • I will ensure that no sensitive or inappropriate content is seen or heard when I share my screen.
  • I will not take screenshots, screen recordings, audio recordings, or video recordings of the session.
