Four Years of Learning and Laughter!

What a journey! As Bahay Turo marks its 4th year, we turned up the joy (and the pepperoni) at Shakey’s Pizza last October 19, 2025 with our beloved Tambay Turo scholars from Tiny Blessings.

From the moment the children arrived, you could feel it: the spark of possibility, the giggles of good company, the thrill of something special. For our Tambay Turo kids, many of whom have known hardship on the streets, this wasn’t just another pizza party. It was a statement: we see you.

We watched as shy smiles transformed into laughter, as children convened around simple, joyful games. These moments remind us that education isn’t just textbooks and tests: it’s community, it’s belonging, it’s hope.

And in that room, we celebrated four years of Bahay Turo’s Tambay Turo mission: to open doors of learning to children who might otherwise be overlooked; to build confidence, not just in reading or math, but in being worthy of dreaming big. To everyone who has supported Bahay Turo these past four years, our teachers, partners, parents, and learners: THANK YOU. You’ve helped us grow into a thriving community of passionate educators, learners, and advocates who believe that every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. As we look ahead, Bahay Turo is focused on strengthening its Tambay Turo program to reach more communities, and partner with individuals and organizations who share our belief that education can change lives. Together, we’ll continue to make learning accessible, meaningful, and full of heart — one child, one lesson, and one joyful moment at a time.
